COTS
COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) is a term used in describing general
technology or computer products that are ready-made and available for
sale, lease, or license to the general public. The use of COTS is
being mandated across many government and business programs, as they
may offer significant savings in procurement and maintenance. Dawn VME
Products has an extensive line of COTS products, including powered
enclosures, backplanes, card cages and accessories based on the VITATM
and PICMG® architectures. Our COTS products are the foundation of
Dawn's business and will continue to be developed and supported.
MILITARY
Dawn VME Products continues to be the leader in providing embedded
packaging solutions for our Military customers, including rugged
enclosures, ATR enclosures, backplanes, card cages and accessories.
As the demands of our Military increase, incorporating all of its
assets into a global-wide communications network in order to provide
real-time battlefield awareness, Dawn is currently engaged in product
designs to meet these challenges. Many of Dawn's solutions are
featured as primary platforms for multiple Military-related programs.
Dawn will continue to support our Military clientele by developing
custom solutions suited for this extremely complex marketplace.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS
A wide range of solutions is offered by Dawn VME for our
telecommunications customers, including powered enclosures,
performance monitoring equipment, backplanes, card cages and
accessories. Dawn continues to pave the way for future Telecom market
development, investing heavily in R&D and the release of new products.
Working closely with our telecommunication customers, Dawn can
develop custom applications suited for any application. As a founding
member of VITATM and a leader in the PICMG® architecture, Dawn VME
Products is the premier solution for all Telecommunication product
requirements.
MEDICAL
Dawn's powered enclosures, backplanes, card cages and accessories
serve as basic building blocks for our Medical customers across a
broad range of applications. These include medical equipment and
diagnostic manufacturers. Dawn's continued investment in R&D ensures
a steady stream of new products to meet the needs of the Medical
market.
INDUSTRIAL
Dawn VME offers a full portfolio of chassis, backplanes and card cages
that our industrial customers can use to configure critical embedded
systems for high-end industrial applications. Typical applications
include semiconductor processing equipment, electric utilities and
both batch and continuous manufacturing.
